H Exp – Radiation and Matter 03A – Interference of laser light

Aim – To observe an interference pattern produced by laser light.

Instructions

▪ The laser produces coherent light of wavelength 632 nm.
▪ Switch on the laser and observe the interference pattern.
▪ Describe the pattern produced on the screen, noting any change in intensity across the pattern.
▪ Confirm that the spacing between points of constructive interference is as expected.
